Decks, doors and timber repairs in Canberra homes

Most of Canberra's suburbs were built from the 1960s on, and their timber is now at the age where decks need boards, doors stick and sills go soft. We build low decks and pergolas, hang and replace doors, fit robes and trims, and repair timber in homes from Gungahlin to Tuggeranong.

We work on the carpentry that doesn't need a building approval in the ACT. When a job does need one, such as a higher or roofed deck, an extension or a structural repair, we'll say so plainly: that work needs a licensed ACT builder.

How we work

  • Approval question first

Before quoting, we check whether the job is exempt from building approval under the ACT rules, and whether the home's age means asbestos has to be identified first.

  • Price and scope in writing

After seeing the job or photos of it, we put the price, the materials and what's included in writing before work starts. Extras are agreed before they're done.

  • Sourced prices and ACT rules

Our guides show published prices with who publishes them, and ACT rules linked to the government pages they come from.
