What we collect
The enquiry form collects the name, phone number, job type, suburb and job details you enter. The full form also asks for timing, the property and an optional email address. Please leave out payment details, identity documents, passwords and unrelated sensitive information.
If you don't give a name, phone number, job type and suburb, we can't review or respond to your enquiry.
We keep the exact disclosure shown when you submit, its version and the time it was received. We also record the page, landing page, referring website, campaign tags and basic browser information. A salted hash of the IP address helps detect spam and repeated submissions. Hosting providers may process the IP address in their security systems.
What happens to your request
We collect enquiries to review them and contact you about your request. Submitting doesn't book work, guarantee a response or authorise marketing messages.
Your details aren't sent to a carpenter or other contractor without your further agreement. If we propose to pass your enquiry to a contractor, we'll tell you who would receive it and ask for your agreement first. The contractor's own privacy policy then applies to how they handle your details.
Contractors may pay this website for enquiries they receive. We don't sell enquiries to marketing lists.
Systems and website analytics
Cloudflare hosts the website and enquiry system, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and device signals to help prevent automated spam; it doesn't read the job details entered in the form. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics measure visits and use of the website. The service-area map is a Google Maps embed: loading it sends technical information, such as your IP address, to Google. Job details are never included in analytics events or sent to the map.
These services may process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Session storage holds the landing page and campaign information while the tab is open. Your browser may also store information used by the analytics services, and you can change its cookie and storage settings.
How long we keep enquiries
Personal details are removed after 12 calendar months from receipt. Non-identifying enquiry records, such as the date, job type and status, are kept for reporting. You can ask for earlier deletion.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask about an enquiry, correct your details, request deletion or raise a privacy concern by emailing info@carpentercanberra.com.au. We may ask for enough information to identify your request safely. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this notice as the enquiry service changes. The date above shows its latest revision.
